Living and working abroad has had an enormous influence on my view of design, and an appreciation for the comforts of all homes. In South Africa I was immersed in a western European aesthetic with the influences of colonial and traditional Africa. Mexico exposed me to the Spanish colonial flavor along with Latin and indigenous style. My travels to Europe provide endless design inspiration. The result is that I see beauty from a broad view. I strive to bring something extra to each project that reflects the homeowner in the world, a design that is more collected than created. I love to integrate today’s living spaces with old and new treasures. The end result is a place that is personal, beautiful and timeless, regardless of style.

I find inspiration everywhere. I am often inspired by a home’s architecture. It may be powerful, like the work of Cass Gilbert or subtle, such as a clean lined fireplace. The dreams and desires of my clients are always inspiring. They sense the need for something new and different in their home. When they involve me in their project, their motivations become mine. It’s exciting to create a beautiful space that exactly meets the mark.
